The double pedestal base is thick and sturdy and has exposed tenons incorporated in the design. Stretchers on the table base add to the stability and strength of the table. The table leaves are easily removed or added with the help of metal cable system which one person can easily operate. The table leaves can be stored in the built in table leaf storage area underneath the table top.
